$14 doner? get out of here with that shit

the whole point of these permanent shmorgasburg installations is that they are expensive as fuck i guess but you see how many people are bringing their trader groceries upstairs to their apartment in the shopping cart with a trader joe's employee to bring it back downstairs for them so it all works out i guess. just further proof that i should be sticking to jerk chicken and roti in my neighborhood.

along the same lines this is just insane

my wife and i shop at that trader joe's literally every week so almost every week i get one of those lioni's heros and believe me i don't feel great about it but at least i'm satisfied. how does it feel to eat a $17 gochujang salmon poke bowl and realize you need something more? (this may also just be a problem w my very large appetite)

the only other thing i buy in there is the occasional croissant from the bakery/cafe i can't remember the french name. they have some cool chocolate coconut croissant and different kinds (almond one is great) but they're like $4.50 or something

I've gone to DeKalb a handful of times (I think from the recommendation of this thread) and yeah it's mad overpriced but convenient and good to do before seeing a movie. Definitely gonna go to Lioni's next time

I like the handrolls at daigo, which is admittedly not cheap, but the quality is good

I had a wretched chicken sandwich from delaney chicken, but I'm going to blame that less on the establishment and more on the checked-out staff

Hah I wanted to try Delaney when we went once but their system was down so they weren't selling anything. Last time we went I made a point of going there only to find it had been closed down forever ~RIP~

There are many many reasons not to go to per se, but in its defense the location is not one of them. Having had the privilege to do so once a few years ago, the design was pretty brilliant in that once you walk through the blue door you are in another realm entirely; zero sights, sounds, or smells from the mall and the way the windows are set you can't see the circle traffic or people just the trees of the park.

You do have to pass through the mall to get there though.
