i'm extremely excited to check it out. i feel like that space is cursed tho. norman was such a killer restaurant and it was always dead empty and i guess that okonomi bar pop-up thing they did over the summer was great, but also always empty.

I've been lurking around there forever waiting for something to go in there. That weird store they have is so odd. I missed the Okonomi pop up. Norman was alright. I was like maybe I don't get scandanavian cuisine and never felt a need to go back.

endless dave wrote:went to Rule of Third's soft open last night and was super impressed. izakaya style stuff that didn't feel corny or fusion-y, sharp as hell aesthetic, lots of touches from Okonomi/Yuji Ramen that the chef brought with him, and I like how they expanded the ideas. would recommend checking it out once it properly opens. it was a set meal so I didn't actual get to try a lot of what I was curious about on the menu, so definitely aiming to going back soon. meal was also comp'ed so I'm curious what that'll come out to. solid two dollar sign place probably

niice. was curious about this

Another super nice american restaurant is opening a few blocks away in march - april. I walked in when they were working on it and the space looked nice.

Florentina Hilzinger Appalon Campo was one of the best pieces of art I’ve ever witnessed in this city. 110 minutes of pure excellence. My only regret is giving David Byrne a standing ovation for his mediocre broadway show in November when this was so much better. But I didn’t stand and for the Campo cast.

The subway has gotten significantly worst since Byford resigned. L train today was rough.

Willie Burns is definitely at his peak as a dj. His sets are next level now much better then they were 6 years ago. Reminds me of when Kasenic blew up

what did you have?

I’ve dug the matcha “coffee” cake, pancakes, vegetalian hero, thai cobb salad, wontonini en brodo, & fettucini vongole with black beans

they can have a heavy hand w/ the salt but ymmv
