It's a pretty basic arpg series good for a playthrough but not much else, wait until it's super cheap
i've been getting really into pestcest too lately. haven't really been able to find much good ant stuff, though. anybody have any links to some good biting vids/pics?

I'm not seeing it come up as $15 in my cart, are you selecting the "Starter" edition? I just linked my twitch account so maybe that is causing the issue?
separately, what's the best/cheapest way to get a bunch of knockoff amiibo things?
If you have an android device with an NFC reader, you can buy NFC tags online and turn them into fake amiibos pretty easily.
oh sick, yeah i've got one. where do i get these nfc tags online?
These are a pretty good deal and they're shipped by Amazon so they won't take 2 months to arrive (a lot of these things would come by sea from China so it was pretty slow-going). You want to specifically get NFC 215 tags (no other model number will work).
Then you want to sideload the TagMo app from github onto your phone and download the particular Amiibo .bin files you need. If you google around you can find these files, or you can also find them here: https://nfc-bank.com/bins.php?s=480b26d3109c56a3c8a7bd2e56122202. You can load those .bin files onto the app, then you write those to the blank tags you've bought.
been having a lot of fun with it. it's pretty challenging, roster is huge, not sure there's much depth to any one character or much endgame. the in-game tips section is pretty well fleshed out for teaching you things the early tutorial levels kinda throw at you all at once. but a number of mechanics are still fairly opaque. curious to know where it'll progress from here, i haven't spoiled myself so i have no idea how far through the main story i am.

one of the nice parts of stardew is that there's really no way to fuck up in any permanent way, worst losses you can experience are mistiming a crop so that it doesn't mature before the season ends, or maybe getting knocked out deep in the mine with a full inventory and losing a few of those items. just have fun with it and do whatever activities you want! early on, you'll feel a ton of energy-pressure from getting tired so quickly, but as you upgrade your tools and equipment and energy restoration capabilities, that crunch will go away.
I'm enjoying MUA 3 but I've always been a fan of these games. The default difficulty is higher than average I think. You can't just button mash your way to victory and the enemies don't drop that much health orbs, plus there's only 3 revives allowed. If you can use the combo assists well, then it's a bit easier with the bosses. But now it's a situation where if I'm playing with my daughter, she'll use up all the revives and inevitably lose to the bosses. Some of the voice acting is pretty spot-on. It brings to mind what Wendy said in the Harry Potter game thread, there's people out there who make a living sounding like Chris Pratt?

Agreed, although with the main quest you'll have to get seasonal items so if you don't use a guide/realize when certain items are available you'll have to wait another year if you miss something. But at the beginning there's really no harm in learning through error while you figure it out
I traded a PS4 for a Switch today (I'd rather go with the lesser battery life and save myself $400.) Sooo... what should be the first game I should pick up? I'd love to do Breath of the Wild but I'm definitely going to grab Link's Awakening when it comes out so I'd rather not do two Zeldas back to back (and hey maybe by the time I'm done with Link's Awakening they'll have some sort of Greatest Hits price drop.) I'm leaning towards Super Mario Maker 2, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, or Super Mario Odyssey.
The guy gave me Smash Bros Ultimate (which I dunno I'm not a huge Smash Bros dude) and Doom (too scary.)
