I made it to the third gym boss and just deleted it. Haven’t played a Pokémon game since red/blue. It’s just awful in every respect. A truly repulsive game
i wish nintendo would take the reins on a pokémon game. the first pokémon generation is all my age now so it seems like there would be a market for a pokémon game with a bit more strategic depth and a more immersive world and art design.
I spent like thirty minutes trying to catch a level 35 Pokémon in the “wild area” and wasted a good 5 poke balls before frustratingly googling it and realized they level cap you. Also the textures remind me of when runescape first went 3D back in like 2004

this triggered me
They say more money more problems. Bring on the problems. Bring on the problems. Bring on the muhfuckin problems.
I would hope that since they don’t have to rewrite a brand new physics engine for BOTW 2, it’ll be out soon. But yeah, I’m ok with them not releasing it until it’s actually perfect.
I love sword/shield but yes the story sucks and the campaign is easy. This has always been the case with pokemon games and I expected it going in. The post-game battle tower is challenging enough that you need to strategize.
It definitely has shortcomings. I wish the wild area was better although its a step in the right direction at least. Don't give a fuck about textures.
There is depth to the gameplay particularly in doubles battles in the battle tower or in vs online but I get that most ppl aren't willing to invest the time it takes to build a competitively viable team.
Actually if you're interested in battles with more strategy you can rent a pre-built team from the battle tower which is a really cool feature. They did take a lot of steps to make high-level play more accessible this time.
I picked up civ6 from Amazon for $20 instead of binding of isaac, idk seems like more bang for my buck seeing as I've played previous versions of isaac already
Really loving divinity original sin 2 on switch. I didn't think it was possible to do such a good port of this type of game to handheld. It's really punishing though, so many ways to stumble into getting absolutely murdered. Finding the next level-appropriate place to go can be frustrating.
