I recently have gone back to finish yoshi's wooly world, and man it's an incredible game. It's chill as hell, and I know everyone knocks modern yoshi for its ease, but it's a joy to play. (except for the 5th world which introduces massive amounts of crushing deaths- imo the worst sin possible in platformers)

I will definitely be getting crafted world.

side note: gris is best played while stoned, alone, and possibly sad

are the new ones even easier than yoshi's story? I haven't played anything since but that's one of my favorite games. it's def not hard but I feel like it's just difficult enough to remain engaging; are the recent ones even easier? they footage I've seen of them always seems very on-rails, and I played thru the crafted demo and it's hella cute but basically just felt like following signs and collecting items in a very offputting way. the trailer video seems to show some proper platforming challenges and boss battles tho so maybe it's just a bad demo?

Yoshi's Wooly World has like, a self-selecting difficulty imo. If you want to get through the levels and get to the end it's easy as hell for sure, but to collect everything in every level is hard as hell (I found)

and these were announced for Switch yesterday:

Konami's Arcade Classics collection is up first, on 18th April, priced $20 (UK price TBA). It will contain Haunted Castle, A-Jax, Gradius, Gradius 2, Lifeforce, Thunder Cross, Scramble and TwinBee.

Following that, sometime "early summer" but without a firm release date, will be the Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Contra Anniversary Collection.

Castlevania's collection will contain Castlevania 1, 2, 3 and Super Castlevania, along with four more to-be-announced titles.

Contra's collection will include Contra, Super Contra, Super C, Contra 3: The Alien Wars and another four more games in the series.

If that Castlevania collection comes with Rondo and Bloodlines, there's no way I'm not buying it.

Hoping we get a Hollow Knight update today. A release date, even at seasonal one, would be great!

Not sure if it's a mistranslation but it sounds like there will be another castlevania collection in the future too, hope we get the gba games. Ideally ds games too but I'm not sure how you could make some of them work without veering into remake territory.

I am ritually summoning Slay the Spire for release today.

Castle Crashers was good but I can't believe we haven't seen a sequel yet! It's like 10+ years old.

Resetera seems to be buying into multiple castlevania collections too

The Arcade collection is disappointing, since the DS Konami Arcade collection had 15 games.

SNK 40th anniversary is the high bar standard tbh
