It is perfect AND the save is on the chip and not a battery so it'll save forever.

sorry what do you mean 'save forever'? does that mean if i'm not careful i'll buy a cart that will lose its save when battery runs out?

Yes, if it's a battery the save will be gone when the battery dies. Most real GBA games after the very earlier ones became chip saves but a lot of repros are battery saves because its cheaper

oh yep. so the mother 3 one that i linked explicitly says 'flash save not battery' but the cheaper, final fantasy ones don't. thanks for the tip.

how did you find the experience playing on the gba?

EDIT: whoops i didn't realize the mother 3 was originally a GBA game

i bought a GBA SP basically for the sole purpose of playing a mother 3 cart and it looked and played great but the lack of a headphone jack was real frustrating, esp because mother 3 has great music and a rhythm-based battle mechanic. i might suggest hunting down a ds lite, which i believe was the last/most advanced model that still had a gba cartridge port

I've mostly been playing Tales of Vesperia which is my first Tales Of game. It's a whole lot of fun, very anime-y, there's a whole ton of game mechanics that are not even mentiones much less explained but it's a lot of fun. Really pretty too look at, some funny bits and I've been sort of shocked at how dark the plot has gotten. Like you think something can't happen and then it does a couple times!

Also been playing Tangledeep which may be the best roguelike for a console besides Shiren (which it's definitely been inspired buy but also is clearly influenced by Tales of Maj'Eyal (which is also a great roguelike for PC if you're interested) in that you have big maps and your skills are cooldown based

I started BotW this weekend. I love how when you wander into the wrong place you get killed immediately. thats the classic gaming experience I crave.

It will get a physical release but only after all the DLC is out and the final patch is out. One of the devs mentioned it on ResetEra.

New Switch update gives new options for sorting the games in your list (last played, title, longest played, I think?). No custom sort which seems like a pretty big oversight... Would love to shuffle things to the bottom when I've beaten them.

Also no FOLDERS!!!! :rixx:

Hey, since they are porting old 3DS games like Rune Factory 4, they should port or a do a sequel to Fantasy Life from the 3DS.

i've done it in regular mode and that was difficult enough...

aha i did this the other night too. i like the fact you can really explore the castle if you want or just scale it/use revali's gale, but ganon is just way too easy, probably the only true disappointment of the game for me

i am so out of the loop on anything related to persona, really wish they would hurry up and release p5 on switch

that said, very excited about this update and joker's moveset. hadn't remembered that there was a stage builder in previous versions? it looks pretty full-featured here
