METAL THREAD (HAIL LORD SATAN)

Let's talk hats

Postby waldojeffers1 » Fri Jul 02, 2021 2:38 pm

My first post covid show will be next weekend and it’s some kind of showcase of central Pennsylvania black metal at a novelty bar with a big rubber skeleton on the front of the building and I’m so looking forward to it

First real post covid show is that my girlfriend and I got tickets to Gwar / Napalm Death / Eyehategod in October
oh no someone save us

New Maiden sounds like "Feel Like Makin' Love."

I mean, makes sense.
You are psychic.
You do not masturbate.
You do not know anger. Your patience is infinite.
Snakes are not dangerous to you. There are no snakes in the bottom of your bed.

What I wouldn't give for a new upbeat, galloping Iron Maiden song.

i agree with this and thought the new single was kinda mediocre when i listened to it but the chorus is a little bit of an earworm
honestly who really cares about the new record as long as they tour the states again

https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/former-slipknot-drummer-joey-jordison-dead-at-46/

The news of his passing was broken in a statement from his family.

The statement reads: "We are heartbroken to share the news that Joey Jordison, prolific drummer, musician and artist passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 26th, 2021. He was 46.

"Joey's death has left us with empty hearts and feelings of indescribable sorrow.

"To those that knew Joey, understood his quick wit, his gentle personality, giant heart and his love for all things family and music.

"The family of Joey have asked that friends, fans and media understandably respect our need for privacy and peace at this incredibly difficult time.

"The family will hold a private funeral service and asks the media and public to respect their wishes."

According to TMZ, Joey's family said they will hold a private funeral service for him, but it's unclear when that will happen.

I'm a big fan of 1916, which has my two favorite songs that aren't "Ace of Spades":

I think 1916 was my first Motorhead record and I always wary of revisiting, but it's actually pretty good for that late in the ol' career.

Gramma I think we're about the same age, right?

I'm up to Bomber and yeah this stuff rips

dig this b-side too

the slower stuff doesn't work as well for me, but it's still alright, but the fast stuff kicks ass

now i'll feel like slightly less of a poser for having like 3 Motorhead shirts from H&M lol

They do have one of the best logo/mascot(?) images in all of rock, so it's easy to forgive someone just repping them on that alone.

Yeah I always figured my love of Ace of Spades was enough to justify, plus yeah they have rad skeletons and shit on em so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who cares about poser stuff anymore. i'd wear a cool shirt for whatever band, unless they were like, nazis or something

Wikipedia tells me it's named Snaggletooth (or Warpig), which I guess I knew at some point, but had forgotten.

The inspiration came from just being a naturally pissed-off bastard! And Lemmy's the same way! So it was bound to be an alchemal wedding of a more "primordial nature". I did a lot of research on skull types and found a cross-breed gorilla-wolf-dog combination would work nicely with some oversized boars horns. Lemmy added Helmet, chains, spit, spikes and grit.
