there's no tawny on that shoe. not sure why puma have it (last) in their official description

my original am93 dusty cactus order was cancelled but i found a better deal at offspring for 67 euro. i'm also considering another 90s classic, the og white/teal Aztrek at half price (~45 euro). one of the best recent 90s retros imo

i was a big ozweego hater at one point but a few of them really grew on me recently (like a few other chunks), especially this replicant oreo cw that i ended up finding for ~ a third (!) of msrp (offspring again, go check it out. extra20 code today)

I need some shoes for basketball but have never really gotten basketball shoes before. Anyone ever get anta's before? Or any thoughts between these?

those Kobes are pretty cool, I hate the giant logo on the inner side of the shoe though. Those Anta's are kinda rad looking, super 2001

I got these Hyperdunks right before I tore my ACL, they aren't collectable limited edition or anything but are very light and stable and comfortable to play in
Image

There is something about these weirdass looking Adidas Marquee Mids too, would probably get these if I was shopping for basketball shoes right now

my advice with buying basketball shoes is don't break the bank if you're actually playing in them. i played all last summer in the kyrie flytraps and they held up really well.

bball shoe reccs:
- kinda got to try em on and see how they work with your play
- ratbags is right, they wear out p quick. especially if you're playing outside on concrete, only expect like a couple dozen sessions
- also dig kyries personally

Thanks for the advice. Was very into those adidas marquee mids. I didn't think about them wearing out so I'm very happy I didn't drop a few hundred on ones that might not be as comfortable online.
I ended up getting these Zoom Assersions for 75.00 at the Nike outlet store by my house. Not my favourite but figured they'd do for now.

those retailed for $80 in 2017. they're supposed to be decent enough for the price according to bballdiagnostics and solebrothers, budget Kyries/PG1s. but $75 doesn't sound like a great outlet price, you can get discounted Kyries for that much. you didn't have to go far for them at least

edit:
Image
sizes 10-12
https://www.kicksusa.com/nike-kyrie-irving-basketball-shoes.html?adultsizes=209&dir=asc&order=price

and i don't know if you can see any sizes left here. i can't but sometimes american sites limit access to europe
$60 https://www.dtlr.com/nike-kyrie-4-943806-005.html

maybe get these too and use the Assersions as backups. or return them for a refund

Damn good to know. The outlet mall near me is kind of wack. Nothing is ever actually a great deal. Just sort of average. I live in Canada or I would have definitely got those irvings from kicksusa as backup but no shipping up here.

Get cheap basketball shoes at the outlets to play in outside. Last year's hyperdunks, the KD or LeBron Team shoe, etc. Don't ever break the bank for something you're gonna wreck up on concrete.

I like hightops cuz my ankles tend to roll, but that's personal preference. Also apparently the hightop doesn't actually stop your ankle rolling it just makes you aware of your ankle position more so you are less likely to roll it? It's weird.

If I was buying new shoes today and I did want them to be sick I'd get the new Puma Clyde Court. They're unusual, well reviewed, and not too expensive.

You can also read reviews of every shoe ever at WearTesters that tend to be pretty reliable.

yeah. the Peace On Earth (grey) colorway even works as a "lifestyle" sneak (unlike other modern bball shoes), if the others are a bit too flashy

this new 87 cw (orewood AQ1090-101) is releasing tonight/tomorrow if anyone wants to be ready for it

Image
but the neptune green cw is still available for ~retail on stockx (if you don't have to deal with their processing fee for shipping abroad)

grayfox, not sure if you'd want to order from Europe (i don't think the mostly white colorways are available in the US rn) but another mexico 66 replacement to consider that you don't have to hit ebay for is this:
https://searchin.it/en/sneaker-release/adidas-jeans-bd7683
https://searchin.it/en/sneaker-release/adidas-jeans-bb7440
also on offspring.co.uk, which isn't on those lists

thanks for the reminder to email size? again about that partial refund from when they dropped the skylons' price significantly a day after they shipped my order. offspring immediately refunded me the discount when something similar happened in their recent sale. size/footpatrol/jdsports customer care seems to suck compared to other stores though, so i'm not even expecting a reply (again)

also, ups fucked up with my vans package and it's being shipped back to sweden so i decided to just cancel the order. don't need em

i ordered the skylons from mr. porter and i've had pretty great experiences with them before, also got the cortez kenny 4's from them. they've got some great looking shoes on sale atm. as for the skylons, after wearing them they're insanely comfy and i highly rec them if you can get them for sub-$60ish.

those epic reacts... are beautiful. what are those?
