my wife’s great aunt (also a Freak 4 Jesus) lives in Merida and wants us to come visit next time. I hadn’t looked much into the city before reading this thread. Looks cool!

A couple different Mexicans have broadly recommended Chiapas to me. I think next time I’m going to try and start there and make my way to Yucatán.

Sorry didnt see this! It would be a long walk to the salt mines but probably an affordable cab ride from progresso

did someone post in here once about a place where university art students typically sell their works? i feel like someone recommended something like that to me but now i cant find it and i want to go if it's real

Not sure but maybe Jardín del Arte (Parque Tlacoquemécatl) on Fridays. Tried to go once but may have been pandemic restricted. Dont remember it being students art tho

Parque Hundido is near there too if thats a bust and its a pretty cool place to walk around

Also I kinda remember there being some students near the dorms at unam selling stuff but pretty sure the dorms havent reopened yet
