every year my production schedule is set back because the public needs its like 3x12" dresden dolls collection/dylan colored 7"s/grizzly bear 10" set with 6 interlacing obi strips and hand screened covers or whatever

its really time for this shit to end

yeah the releases this year looked even more pitiful than usual. last year there were a handful of things I was interested in (life without buildings!) but it's real wasteland.

The weird thing about RSD is that amongst all the stupid unnecessary shit, a David Bowie 7" picture disc is guaranteed to be there. By the time RSD is done for good, you could probably own three Bowie albums on 18 7" picture discs.

Frank Sinatra 10" made me lol.

McLuskyism is something I would maybe buy.

Fuck RSD and coloured vinyl and Jack White straight to Hell.
United Pressing couldn't take new orders for Q1 of 2015, this is the problem.

urp has a lot of problems beyond rsd but its surely not helping matters

would love to see a venn diagram of people who go out for RSD and people who usually buy their vinyl at urban outfitters (if they buy it at all)

I mostly want the Bedhead live LP but I'm pretty sure it'll be available direct from Numero after RSD.

This year's list is much worse than the past few.

Just imagined a 311 7" of Grifters covers and then a Grifters 7" of 311 covers.

Maybe they're the side by side artists this year!

Hopefully, that's how I ended up getting Songs: Ohia last year (but through SC).

I'll probably get this but I have two of the singles and the last two albums on vinyl already.

just realized it was only the A-sides, so yeah kinda pointless if you have the albums on vinyl already (I do).

RSD is always packed, but even if I show up late, the majority of the worthwhile records are still available. I have no clue what most of these people are buying.

Blink 182 and Paramore records most likely.

RSD isn't really a thing here, I think for a long time everybody assumed that there weren't any Canadian or Quebecois RSD markets because we're so used to being snubbed.
I'm sure that one record store that makes 90% of its revenue off of Beatles reissues has a big RSD event and dipshit r/vinyl university students line up to get their Flaming Lips picture discs.

I swear I saw two kids with Panic! At The Disco LPs right as I got into the store last year. Not even sure that was even a RSD release.

this is the day when people who don't really like records go out and purchase some in an attempt to seem cool, right?

The flippers are the worst thing about RSD, that plus the terrible selection of unneeded reissues.

I think flippers recognize there's no value in RSD releases.

I'm shooting for that purple splatter Coal Chamber - Loco 78, also the "The Complete Dumpstaphunk" 60x7 inch box set.

How much you guys think the Ork singles box set is going to go for April 19? That's the only really flippable thing I see this year. I just want to go buy the new Built to Spill without having to deal with guys buying crates of them trying to get one of the random blue swirl ones. I wouldn't mind picking up that Koes Barat record either which shouldn't be tooo hard in Seattle.
