it's weird that nothing in that trailer was remotely interesting. hopefully they hit the gas on the battle sequences there's not much else to do here

I don't know if he'll finish it - he's apparently stuck on a character he regrets killing and doesn't know how to tell the story without.

all the books were good, dance with dragons absolutely left me hanging for what would come next. the degree to which the show shitted up everything that was happening around that point and beyond is staggering. you could go on and on about the specific reasons why but cumulatively it's just... man. maybe it's just that it makes for good pages but bad television? it absolutely doesn't help that readers pieced together the broad strokes of the climax years before we got here, too. can't wait for this big stupid 12 hour dragon battle with intermittent jon / dany sexy time.

(am I dumb for not knowing which character he regrets killing would be? it's been a minute since I engaged with the story)

we have been misled

also for the book readers. i am just starting them now, i'm about a third of the way through book 2. i gotta know cos i'm a big fan of the show but like.. are these books bad? is this guy a bad writer? i'm not great at like critiquing things or whatever i usually just like it or i don't.. but like. i really like the show and i am just stunned by how much i am disliking this dude's writing style.

I don’t like his writing style. Hide orld building is great and his characters are interesting obviously, but it reads like an airplane move or something

Of all the things to criticize the people who make this show for, are we really going with 'the episodes are 80 minutes instead of 110?'
