Hawaii drags but gets v good at the end. And it has taishi who is one of my fav reality show heels ever (he might be too much of a wimp to be a real heel but he has some great moments). But anyways stoked for new japanses season the house looks insane

I enjoyed Aloha State overall but the way it was 95% the Taishi show for at least 20 fuckin' episodes was a little much by the end, even if he was an admittedly compelling psychopath.

Only two eps into the new one and it's already refreshing.

Through 4 eps, great cast and setup. Shion is basically ideal as the audience surrogate, just helpful and intuitive but absurdly hot and fashionable. I like Tsubasa always unwinding with some orange juice.

I didn't watch Aloha State so I can't say for I that YuudaiToggle Spoiler is the most hateable character in the show's history, but he's gotta come close, right? He's like all of Uchi's worst traits amplified, laziness that puts Arman to shame and no redeeming qualities.Toggle Spoiler

I actually feel bad for Yuudai because he appears to be dumb as a box of rocks.

So far in Tokyo I have seen:

- Lauren Tsai in an ad on the wall of the Toyko Metro
- Yoshimi Tokui (panelist) in a condom ad
- guy running a tiny house club wearing a shirt from the store where Avian worked

we may or may not make a day trip to Karuizawa, like total freaks

I’m only halfway through Boys and Girls In The City but this show is so good. I love Arman and Hikaru’s friendship and would totally watch a spin-off show with the two of them. I was so sick of Uchi and Minori!!

It’s insane how good season 1 part 2 is.

It really becomes a different show when Handa shows up. I am genuinely impressed by how he carries himself and treats others. He seems like a wonderful person.

Natsumi is a great, complex character and she brought so many shake-ups.

Everything leading up to and immediately after the big date in Yokohama made me so sad. That poor girl is so nice.

I actually think this show has caused me to reflect on how I am in social situations and want to work on being better. It seems crazy to say that about a reality show but I’m genuinely touched by seeing mostly good people sharing space and trying to resolve issues in a respectful way.

I definitely felt that way when Riko showed up, especially because she offset what had been my favorite and most mature iteration of the cast thus far. I also felt like she was judging Arman for both cultural reasons (ie: tattoos) and what I suspect was racial prejudice.

I wouldn’t want to live with Hikaru cause he’s such a cad and his affairs with much older women were kinda

but he had certain edge that made the show interesting. But he totally let that girl walk into the fire. Bad boy.

I can't wait to get some new episodes. I was downloading a bunch of the original season from Terrible House and got to ep 55 but the ones after that arent available yet with English subtitles but I'm dying to see how the Tecchan storyline proceeds and ultimately ends.

Love the new season too. May be my favorite thus far, but I feel like they stacked the house with the right number of cool interesting outgoing people and weird sociopathic types (Yuudai).
