Have you considered going back and listening to any of the old series?

The past week has been pretty shitty for me, so I started listening to the Star Wars eps again and it's like being wrapped up in a warm blanket

hrm i think i’m gonna sit this mini series out. looking at the schedule i don’t think a single one of his movies seems interesting, even silence of the lambs was more or less covered in the manhunter episode. i’m obviously in the minority here as this was a fan vote. maybe the guests will be good.

will be fun to revisit their star wars eps and maybe listen to the wachowskis again.

The Cameron Crowe series would be fun to revisit too, Elizabethtown and Almost Famous are all time greats

just watched Citizen's Band and I loved it but I'm worried the friends are gonna rag on it for not having "a plot" or "coherence" or "endings to most of it's scenes"

Last Embrace I did not particularly care for but this shot was great

i didn't love something wild but there is a similar real pretty shot stuck in the middle of it, of like jeff bridges outside a church or something?

yeah I'm glad I saw the movie before the episode - i thought they did a great job contextualizing why the movie was good. they deff seem really jazzed by demme.

can't believe that howard was played by the guy who was tom cruise's dad in magnolia - that was a big don don.

i also saw Silence of the Lambs for the first time a few days ago - that movie? very good!!! Philadelphia was really good too

the endgame commentary was enjoyable because of how much they enjoyed it and only truly producer ben could make griffin saying "ben ben you're going to love this part in 30 seconds" actually enjoyable to listen to

I am so sure I've made a comment like this about say I dunno like Lionel Barrymore that made the person I said it to feel 7,000 years old, the age I feel right now.

Jordan Hoffman's VCR story could just as well've been about my own dad, down to the slowest VHS tape recording speed.

When I was a kid I used to serially record every episode of TNG. When a commercial came on I would dash to the VCR and pause the recording and hover over the record button for when the break was over. If a tape ran out in the middle of an episode I would try to put a new tape in as fast as I could and keep going

Yeah, I didn't want to be first, but it's wild to see Jason Robards that-guy'ed.

At the very least, he's Ben Bradlee.
