i never listened to this album because i heard some song he did under one of his previous names awhile back and just assumed it was generic modern indie pap but decided to listen to the new one because of all the hype

i bloody love it! reminds me of dean blunt at times. dean blunt goes post punk? also vincent gallo's in there somewhere

i'm fixated on this fucking thing

the lyrics, everything about it

i thought it was so ridiculous at first and now it's like i feel like i'm being directly communicated with by a musical recording for the first time in forever

I'll admit this is growing on me. It's a good album to have on in the background, which sounds kind of backhanded, but it works better when I let it kind of wash over me and allow interesting sonic details/lyrics to emerge naturally

Gave this Ooz thing a listen a few weeks ago, the first song is more laughable than anything on the album 'Significant Other' by Limp Bizkit.

There's a cool thing going on this post where "this Ooz thing" is not dignifed enough to receive the coveted quotation mark treatment of "the album 'Signifcant Other' by Limp Bizkit." The form of the post reflects its content, which I appreciate. Its content happens to be very bad, but I still appreciate the craft.

In all fairness, most albums can't hold a candle to significant other by limp bizkit. They just don't make em like they used to

bump

London artist Jadasea has enlisted King Krule for a brand new EP. It’s called Half-Life and it was produced entirely by Archy Marshall under his Edgar the Beatmaker moniker.

another bump

King Krule has released a new short film called Hey World! He wrote the film, which is directed by Charlotte Patmore. Hey World! begins with Archy Marshall receiving a mysterious phone call that rings out to voicemail. The ensuing recordings are lo-fi and stripped-back, mostly performed on ukulele or guitar, in front of outdoor backdrops mixing nature and industry. According to a press release, the new songs are called “Perfecto Miserable,” “Alone, Omen 3,” “(Don’t Let the Dragon) Draag On,” and “Energy Fleets.” Watch below.

last song there (13:37), sounds nice. the other's are too lo-fi for me to care about that much or they just sound like sketches
