Marie Kondo - Tidying Up -- And the HPN Clothes Sending

So we watched Marie Kondo - "Tidying Up" on Netflix lately, and we're probably giving away a lot of clothes soon!

But instead of giving these clothes to goodwill or whatever, I figured if anyone wants them I should make a thread to give away to other boarders

Within a couple of weeks, I'll post some pics of some clothes that definitely "don't spark joy" in my life but might in someone else's, so if anyone else is doing similar feel welcome to post some pics of clothes that you're looking to give away to the nearest place to take them (or the boarder who these clothes might actually spark joy for)

Basically this is an early spring cleaning thread, and i'd rather send the clothes to someone on here than to a thrift shop that will profit on it

the thrift stores here have signs saying no more donations because this show has taken the hipsters by storm in the last month

I have like 5 shirts, so if you're a guy and tall, I'm definitely interested.

I'm pretty much perpetually looking to give away clothes, because I'm perpetually in need of closet space.

I can post the stuff that's in need of a good home but last time I did it (in the ladies' subforum), I didn't get any takers because there just aren't that many boarders who wear the same sizes and styles.

That said, if there is actually anyone else on the board who measures in the ballpark of the same size (bust in the range of 30 to 34 if you measure around the cup; waist from 24 to 26 [maybe 27 for some pieces]; hip from 31 to 35; height from 5'4" to 5'6") and wants to pick up some things, let me know. Otherwise I probably won't post any of my stuff because why.

This is the person who says you should get rid of all your books, right?

She can go take a swim in Fuck Off Lake.
Now here is the lake. And I still haven't changed.

Man I am too but am never given free reign because my partner is a pack rat with some abandonment issues and clings to the (useless junk of the) past

I fantasize about the minimalist life that I will never ever have

My wife and her sister spent all last Sunday purging my wife’s clothes, which I fully endorse. I hate putting her laundry away because her drawers are so packed, I had to smash clothes into them.

Meanwhile (outside of furniture) I could move everything I own using a Honda Civic.

My mom is a low-grade hoarder and it has made me extremely averse to having too much stuff. It stresses me out horribly.

I was watching this with my wife this week and she said “you could never do this with your books” and I said “sure I could” and she said “so you’d get rid of the OED?” and I said “of course not why would I get rid of the OED?”.

She’s probably right. But what I really need is more bookshelves.

Iirc from the book, she doesn’t tell you to get rid of all your books, she just tells you to keep the ones that you might actually re read some day, or that fit into your personal hall of fame
