If Only Tonight We Could Sleep always reminds me of the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, maybe the music in that level has a similar sitar-y thing or something

that shit is the most opiumcore song made in the last 100 years

If only tonight we could sleep
In a bed made of flowers
If only tonight we could fall
In a deathless spell
If only tonight we could slide
Into deep, black water
And breathe
And breathe
Then an angel would come
With burning eyes like stars
And bury us deep
In his velvet arms
And the rain would cry
As our faces slipped away
And the rain would cry

Don't let it end
There’s no path to a satisfying conclusion at this point.

I feel like maybe someone had done this before, but anyway, i fixed KMKMKM. You're welcome

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 9AeXQsavgy

i removed the six shittiest songs on it (don't act like you don't know that's Torture, if only tonight we could sleep, The snakepit, All i want, Hot hot hot and Fight) and replaced them with the six b-sides from the era which are all album worthy and some of them, better than most songs actually on the record. I was mindful of where i put them for better...flow. Speaking of though..to REALLY do the record right, i would change the official order of some songs. Oh and actually..ok i kinda did like the cd cause there's 17 songs.I suppose i could have kept Hey you! but eh... it was already considered expendable then... though honestly while uit's not good, it's probably better than those removed. Well torture is alright, if it wasn't for those lyrics.

I have also fixed Wish and Head on the door (both only had two songs wrong with them) but haven't made them into a YT playlist yet.

I am actually very aware lots of oeople like this one. It's the best one for sure in those i removed. I still think all the six b-sides from this era are better though. Anyway for sure i think most everyone can find 6 songs on this record they don't like very much that those b-sides would be better than, i feel this record did NOT warrant 18 songs at all. But mostly robert picked those that would be on it poorly judging by those b-sides. Though, it is clear in some choices he was trying to make the record maybe a bit more varied. I feel anyway that the version i posted makes KMKMKM much closer in quality to Disintegration. If that was the KMKMKM we got it would probably be my second favorite cure record.

The snakepit though....

At least i'm sure we can all agree FIght is probably the worst song RS wrote in the 80's. I can't think of anything worse, including the b-sides. And to close the record on this turd. SMH....

Two of their best, and again why the b-sides to KMKMKM are puzzling in how much superior to many songs that made it on the record they are. Well i mean now that i fixed KMKMKM i guess it doesn't matter but still.

what's the story with 'how beautiful you are' and its relation to 'lovesong' ?

are there any other songs in the catalogue that have that sort of similarity?

i dont find they sound similar?

I mean..sure it has a cure sound but i never linked the two at all in my head.

What i can tell if you didn't already is how beautiful you are lyrically is a baudelaire poem he ripped off. though he acknowledges it.

It's not his first or last time, half the lines in Charlotte Sometimes are straight from the book. how he pulled this off without getting sued i'll never know. Maybe English people aren't as litigious.

the kmx3 era b-sides are phenomenal but these 2 specifically are maybe my least favorite of them. the (uncut) gems are obviously to the sky and snow in summer

i missed that the cure put out a 4disc special edition of mixed up earlier this year and while most of it sucks, i did find this plainsong mix where they basically turn plainsong into a Four Calendar Cafe era Cocteau Twins song

https://youtu.be/cRY7pZ4cJfY

this is still a very good remix imo
