My favorite seemingly but not really generic Romanian star Inna put out a new album! A concept album! She's a singer songwriter now! Seems pretty great.

Is it weird for a Romanian to record a Spanish language pop album? It seems weird to me, but maybe that's a logical path to wider appeal? I also know nothing about her biography, so there may be something there that makes it not weird at all.

It's not a commercial move, for sure. This is the least 'wide' she's been. She's recorded in various languages, including Spanish, before, but mostly in English for her big singles, and the mainstream fans (like many from Turkey) do not like this album because it's too 'weird.

Similarities with Romanian so I'm guessing a lot of Romanians learn the language.

honestly truly amazing and insane that a 2-year old song by Lizzo just hit #1 - POPJUSTICE

very happy for her!!!! what a summer for her.
(and i hope this encourages her to keep with that sort of truth hurts/water me/scuse me/coconut oil sound in the future, esp vocally, instead of the album this year.)

i wonder if there is a list of longest distance between 'song released' to hitting #1.
