I went to the Beyond show at Ned Devine’s today. Great time, except it was 100 degrees in the space and they wouldn’t let us open the windows because they didn’t want chants of “AG FUCKS!” raining down on the tourists at Faneuil Hall.

Back in 2011 when I discovered theditch (.biz & us) I downloaded all this AJPW and for the better part of three years spent almost every weekend binging it. This match is absolutely top tier out of everything I saw, maybe top of the pile.
Every Misawa/Kobashi vs Kawada/Taue was a thriller and I loved not knowing the results of anything I was watching back then.
The Jumbo feud might've been better overall, but the Misawa vs Kawada feud reached higher highs. Like with the Jumbo feud any old six man tag was must watch. Not unlike the NJPW vs WAR feud.

Yah this was kind of brutal. Fun show overall though.
I told Orange Cassidy ‘good match’ and he responded with what I can only describe as an open hand / dead fish fist bump that was perfectly in character. It took me a second to process how to react because it was so chill.
at the same time, when i first heard this song in the 4th grade, i couldn't stop thinking of death and the release of the human soul from the body....flying through the air and darkness!!!...
It's a pause vertical suplex where I deliver a little monologue while I have them up

I enter to northwest passage actually. The finisher is called the bluenose. Other named moves include the halifax hammer (gorilla press drop from a fireman's carry) and anchor drop (top rope elbow)

I remembered the Northwest Passage being your entrance music, hence hoping for the double whammy of naming the finisher that too, haha (I'm another Stan Rogers convert thanks to you btw).

Jake what's your wrestling name again? I was not aware you were from the maritimes, I haven't been to a show in a while but I feel like there's a pretty good chance we probably know some of the same people
The monologue varies and I don't always deliver it. I'm not Canadian, I just play a guy who is. I've got a few characters in PWR:
Dock Master: Stevedore, sailor, maritime mystic, champion of the working man. Currently holds the Necroweight Belt, A portal to the bone realm and avatar of the World Skull, which corrupts its owner, as he desperately searches for a way to destroy it. Bench Horse: A horse who can bench press. Former member of The Stable w/ Gary the Goat until he modified Gary's Dreamcast to play pirated games and in the process made it impossible to play regular games on it. Marcus Arugulus: One half of the Romaine Legion with Julius Caesar Salad, surviving Roman legionnaires who have lived for 2000 years because they follow a raw paleo diet and don't eat gluten. (Heels, obviously). Hobo Jim: Not a hobo, just looks like one because he lives in his basement and only watches Naruto, but perennial enemy of train law enforcer Bull DeCroix who does not appreciate this point.
and then a bunch of one-offs
I've pretty much just wrestled with PWR but we've got a few people who do other promotions across Texas and elsewhere, notably Jojo Bravo / J Serious / Spryda and Luigi Primo.

Would have maybe swapped Lance Archer or Bad Luck Fale with Minoru Suzuki but otherwise some great blocks. Too bad Davey Boy Smith isn't with New Japan anymore, I feel he would do well in a G1.
No YOSHI-HASHI, Tama Tonga or Makabe. I don't think they'll be missen.
