rly cute and great responses - "im a very selfish creator. i make art for myself and no one else, if people can eventually relate to it then thats brilliant."

the tracklisting is really bugging me though! song for song I like everything, it's a treasure trove, but as an album it really never manages any kind of flow at any point. weird! still though I think this is a triumph
pretty much agree with all of this. I mean it's a good album, but my least favorite of her releases so far.
"shake it" is sooo bad
it appears you do not in fact agree with all of this
which is why I included "pretty much"

i'm gonna turn into that uhh quirky kanye apologist on this board but for charli and i'm fine with that
has charli ever said anything remotely political before that i should know aboutToggle Spoileredit: i googled charli xcx trump lol and found this delightful interview:
https://www.stereogum.com/1915832/charl ... in-review/
activist queen
edit 2: the transition from that brutal Click ending to that gorgeous beginning of Warm is so good.
edit 3: just realized white mercedes totally sounds like julia micheals' issues - which charli did a demo for

makes u think

I enjoy the second half more since I didn't hear most of the songs first, but I am excited to see her next month. Been listening to the album nonstop since it came out, I think it's awesome.

This isn’t Pop 2 level but I like it... especially Shake It, Gone, Click and Thoughts
Shake It and Gone are song of the year contenders

yeah i think now that it's on an album and we're a bit removed from it, track 10 and blame it on your love now exist as separate entities for me now and i'm happy and good with that. very cute song and is a welcome tempo change, especially right before descending into those more mellow songs
i think also Official is very cute and it's nice listening to her do such a sweet song <3

this album is definitely kind of maddening in execution. (it feels like it morphs into a solo Charli EP in the middle).
to me, the best songs are "next level charli," "thoughts" and "official" (and "gone"). of the new stuff, i was most surprised by "shake it" leaving me cold - it feels like a mixtape rehash. Troye songs are pleasant if inessential.

Official is really good. the instrumentation, breathy sort of vocals, the whole feeling of that song reminds me a lot of The Louvre by Lorde. both songs just sound like being in love.

“shake it” is absolutely a mixtape rehash and it’s great—I think she actually described it as “I got it 2”

also did we need tommy cash though - j/w - i guess it fits a bit better than jay park did......

She said on her reddit ama that there was a song with Yung Lean and Bladee that didn't make it to the album and i'm so bummed now
Great album otherwise, i still get annoyed to no end by Christine but that's just me apparently

Enjoying the album now. It's solid. I feel like it's missing some of the really big dense moments like those in Delicious or Track 10 though. Or at least, I was looking forward to some moments like that.
Also listened to Focus today and it's better than anything on this album.
