I want to wait to get the full experience but those screenshots of drawers fill me with joy. The drawers are really what blew me away the first time I played the original game.

It's going to be fascinating to see how fresh eyes take to Shenmue 3 once it's finally released, as it's a seriously strange game, with pacing and production that feels totally alien to modern sensibilities. For fans, though, it's sure to be mana, and it's heartening that not only have the development team held onto that strangeness but that they've managed to stay faithful to the density of detail that made the original Shenmue games so beloved. This is digital tourism at its finest, and it suggests that Shenmue 3 can be the follow-up Yu Suzuki's majestic series deserves.

That’s a pretty fair video

Definitely not a graphics powerhouse but what they accomplished on a limited budget, as far as we can see, is pretty amazing.

John Linneman over at DF is a known ‘Mue Head, so everything he says comes from a place of love. I was mostly posting that vid because it’s the most convincing argument for this game I’ve seen yet.

Not sure if I should dive right in or try to finish the remasters before III

i beat shenmue i tonight... have a week or two before three comes out to play through 2.

these games are the best.
