Okay, a few things.

In cultures where they say things that suck are actually good luck, i.e. stepping in dog shit, getting shit on by a bird, having twins, etc. etc. they aren't actually good luck. People just say this so people don't feel so bad about terrible things happening to them.

Also, you know how some people punish their animals that go to the bathroom in the house by pushing the animal's face in the mess so that they don't want to do it again; the internet is like that in regards to human culture and it may be the thing that eventually gets us out of post-modernism because we will be so sick of sticking our faces in our own piles of shit.

And continuing from that one/post-modernism; when H.P. Lovecraft is talking about the insane geometry and architecture of the old ones and stuff; he's just talking about the architecture of the cheese cake factory.
