I would recommend The Wailing on Netflix. Real solid Korean horror movie. Long but good.

has anyone watched that spanish crime series on netflix, La Casa de Papel / Money Heist? it's pretty big here and i'm curious

In its first-quarter results, the U.S. streaming company said that “La Casa de Papel,” created by Spain’s Alex Pina, was its most-watched foreign-language series ever.

It's Paul Greengrass. He's also done movies about the Bloody Sunday massacre, the Omagh Bombing, and Flight 93. It's kind of his thing for whatever reason

Never even heard of this. Might give it a try.

Gonna recommend the new Gareth Evans joint APOSTLE even though I have issues with it. It has a slow first hour, but then it just gets fucking nuts.

highly recommend this new turkish drama, şahsiyet.

you can stream the whole series here for free w/ eng subs: https://puhutv.com/sahsiyet-1-bolum-izle.

it stars haluk bilginer, the main character from bilge ceylan's winter sleep.

finally watched and remembered the whole thing and i feel like he leaned too hard on the drama in this and it ended up boring. like, there were seeds of another blue ruin/green room type film in there but he went another route and it didn't quite work out. i read some article that quoted him as saying he stretched out with it on purpose prob because he could. ah well.
