Grapefruit is excellent and I will probably be leaning on it in January when everything else sucks.

My gfs fam own a plot of land in their village that grows massive wild pomelos and ripping the peel off them things to get to that sweet sweet flesh is great.

Stone fruit are bae, can't think of one that isn't an elite treat

Apples are also good, and given that they're in szn it makes sense that the dialogue itt would strongly consider them

Citrus, in general, hell yes

Pears are meaty and good when ripe

Blackberries > raspberries > strawberries > blueberries, but all are good and I acknowledge the versatility/simplicity of the blue

I love fruit!!

The New Yorker feature on how bananas are probably going to go extinct in our lifetime was a huge bummer.

i don’t like a lot of fruit (esp if it has too much sugar) and i’m allergic (or used to be) to most good fruits so i tend not to eat them out of habit

that said, i will eat all berries

i just bought three cartons of raspberries yesterday

Agree with the idea that mangoes are god tier. I was a fussy little kid about fruit (I'd only really eat bananas and apples) and I'm glad I got over it. Fruit rocks.

I got really into kiwis as a teenager, I'd have multiple kiwis on the daily. For some reason at like 18 a switch flipped in my head and they became basically inedible to me. Maybe I overdid it? To my relief about 2 years ago I had one and it was back to being delicious, but I space them out now.

I legit thought this my whole life. Like, people who'd say strawberry is their favorite fruit just didn't care about anything other than visual aesthetics.

But over the last two summers, I've been buying them on season and they're a 10/10 fruit.

And then a week later, when their not on season anymore, I take one bite, cringe and put the whole carton straight in the garbage.

I love berries, most of them are incredibly healthy, like gooseberries, chokeberries or raspberries. Also black and red currannts are awesome. For everyday consumption though apples win. We've got so many old breeds here (around 150 in total), check out those ones you guys

Late breed, very sweet but also extremely sour, perfect for baking, goes well with duck

Hard and sweet, one of my favorite ones

Early summer breed, hard and very sour, the fruits are huge, can easily weight up to a pound

Late harvest breed, sweet and wine-like taste

Tbh I found dragon to be a bit of a letdown - not much flavor to be had. Stunning aesthetic tho!
