Also why the fuck haven't the EV games come out for iPad yet.

Has the Realmz guy put the registration codes out there or does he still want 15$ to play his scenarios?

When I listed games my dad was addicted to I completely forgot the hundreds of man-hours he spent on some shareware Snake clone.

I had this demo called "Wolves in Wood" for some larger game that was like some horror beat-em-up. You could kill stuff with axes but also you would kick a rock in the forest and there would be a pizza in it. I can't find any images of this thing.

This was pretty awesome although I played it about when my mom decided that militaristic games like this were harmful and started giving me the stink eye.

dunno what it was like in the US, but growing up here i was the only kid in school who was strictly Macintosh™. i had to go to friend's houses to play any of the really good games around at the time

had the game straight memorized for a very long time. the werewolf was the scariest bit because you had to get the timing exactly right.

some pretty weird stuff, though.

that military game reminds me of Airborne!, but it's not the same.

Boy Spectre does not look good in screenshot format:

The Macintosh versions of the Starflight games were also probably the best versions of those. I beat Starflight II without a walkthrough on the LC although the ending was like being kicked in the guts.

I lost countless hours of my childhood to Escape Velocity and Sim City 2000. Then I lost a bunch more hours in college once I found out Escape Velocity had been released for Windows at some point and I pirated the shit out of it. Now I kind of want to go download it again.

EV Nova has a few plot lines that are a complete bummer that you don't realize you're on until you can't get out of them without ruining you character. Override was the best one.

Did anybody play an investment game called "Millions" or something like that? It's probably from about 1985 or so

+ that skiing game somebody posted above and loads of different pinball tie-in games

Not on a mac but I remember playing Doom and also this Beast Wars game against my dad over the network and since his work laptop was so much faster than our home computer he could start the game and kill you about five times before you could play.

"The game was universally panned by both critics and fans alike, given a mediocre to bad rating by most online reviewers for the game's blocky and textureless graphics, clipping problems, somewhat slippery controls, and horrendous voice acting."
