it really helps make the thread skimmable / able to glance at the full post to see the game title & know the post is about that.

i think i started doing it after regularly backtracking through the thread to find out what game is being talked about ... sometimes only to realize the game name was actually in the post either shortened or with an unfamiliar name

i agree with this. it's very gaudy. I thought V had a clean look to it that would stand the test of time though.

The UI is so crowded, I'm sure it'll grow on me if I keep at it but I think it's weird that I have like 2,000 hours of CIV experience and I can barely navigate the screen

it's nice if you're looking to play something like StS with different classes/cards

it's ok

in terms of my personal preference of the great cribbings of sts and trying to remember every game and in descending order

great
------
dream quest
trials of fire

good
------
gordian quest
dicey dungeons
ratropolis
monster train
erannorth reborn
iris and the giant
overdungeon
neoverse
deck of ashes
monster slayers
night of the full moon
meteorfall
griftlands

fine
-----
spellsword cards
nowhere prophet
steamworld quest
fate hunters
blood card
deep sky derelicts
pirates outlaws
a long way down
destiny or fate
the last hex

there's going to be something said about these game titles. i'm also not bolding these yall can go fr*ck urselves

anyway, that reminds me i never tried out another step from eden

finished disco elysium - it made me laugh a lot, which never happens in games, and i thought the last few hours was really good. standoff with the mercenaries was great, so was the final reveal. still think it's too gamist and is basically the opposite of what i want out of a tabletop rpg but a mainstream crpg skipping combat and still being successful is great and hopefully influential

Yeah that's where I'm at. The quest stories are so gooood!!

And the characterization and dialogue choices for Geralt actually feel like role playing in a way I haven't felt in a long time

Really? I read some pretty mixed reviews on it. Just beat the main game and was debating the DLC.
