Office Hours is without question the highlight of my week at this point.

Tim’s barely bottled contempt for callers is so great. I think it was in the fred ep, someone calls in (or maybe they called the caller, i cant follow) and tim just screams “WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH YOU?!?”

That gimmick never gets old

yeah i love this, especially because of how idiotic some of the questions and callers can be

This exchange in the new ep is so great

Caller: Weyes Blood new album is amazing!
*pause*
Tim: Good, tell her that, what do I care?

Discussed last page but I’ll say I started at the beginning of the year and have been belly laughing ever since
Note: mildly comedic.

if you have the time, start when doug started. if not, when vic started. or you can just start whenever tbh.

you probably don't need to go all the way to the beginning. i've been listening since then and it was pretty bad honestly. i never recommended it to anyone because the quality was horrible and it was riddled with terrible callers, but still entertaining because of tim. back then it was probably only worth listening to if you were a diehard tim-head. having doug and vic has opened it up and made the appeal much broader. and better!

yeah
RIXX wrote:it's not really like on cinema in that tim isn't in any character and there isn't really a lot of inside jokes and references to need to know

you can really jump in anywhere, but the show really got going IMO when vic and doug both started doing drops and becoming regular hosts, since around January of this year? the episode descriptions call them the holy trinity sometimes

start at the January 16th 2019 episode where Vic and Doug are in the studio together for the first time and go from there. and then if you catch up and need more OH just go back beyond 2019, i mean it's always just tim yelling at callers so any episode is gonna be good

i worked with tim! he certainly wasn't as outgoing as eric and there's obviously an element of his cranky persona that is real, but he was really nice any time i had an actual conversation with him. and i was just a lowly art PA!

Having the sound board especially when callers are sycophants or too dialed in is perfect

I hope the Brandan Kearney that wrote the On Cinema book I just preordered is the same Brandan Kearney who is a professional basketball player for the Montcon Miracles of the National Basketball League of Canada.
